like to receive the box, to plan ahead so you are satisfied with the result. Normal build time is 3 weeks, but could be longer based on Holiday orders so please plan ahead.
We are offering another custom made jewelry box
alot of emails on these for an all the same type of wood box,
bottom and top so here it is.
This one has a flamed Amerian Walnut body and top that is fully inlaid with a name
in Tiger Maple and hand sanded smooth and flush.
There is also a 3x laser engraved message of your choice on the inside cover
The top is rounded over 3/8" and sanded to 400 grit before oiling with Tung Oil
The flames show through rich with Tung Oil and are
amazing and finger width depth 3d looking.
NOTE ":This top however is one particular piece and was made for another customer
so this exact box you would not receive. We can send pics of a particular piece of wood for the top
if you wish so you can see what it would look like.
This is superbly attached with Brusso brass Quadmatic hinges
that bring the top to 95 degrees fully opened.
Twin interior trays made from black walnut as well and 1/4 rounded over on all
edges and smooth sanded and oiled. This one was lined with padded real black suede lining
If you choose the trays the top one has 15 compartments on the top tray and two elongated ones on the bottom,
The feet are adustable brass but it's level as it is.
Beautiful look, all miters are clean and well matched.
This is gorgeous and a must have....
The hinges are all laser mortised in for perfect closes :)
An Italian box maker that I met a few weeks ago
saw these boxes in my store and told me that of this quality
these would sell for $1200 plus in Italy if they could offer them
which they couldnt and that the labor would be outstanding.
I've got these down to a science now and you can
have one of these custom built for you
The sides are all mitered and are cut from the same board.
We use woods kiln dried to 6-8% moisture to prevent movement.
On my other box auction you can choose for the top, these woods...
walnut, bubinga, curly maple, quilted maple, Flamed Hawaiian Koa,
Spalted Maple and flamed Redwood.
Inlay wood if chosen as an option, should be something
that would contrast well
Finish can either be oiled, (tung or teak oil) or glossy clear
This one is Minwaxed and buffed to a shine
glossy finish is an additonal charge of $120 and up to 2 weeks leadtime more
these are very nice custom boxes and could also be used
as humidors with the humidor package including Hydrometer: ask about this
